I am currently experimenting with mage specs post 3.0, so they will change periodically. Currently fire for pve.
3 ) Current guild, guild history, and explanations of why you want to leave your current guild or why you left your prior guild(s). Why do you want to be in Element?
In a friend's guild atm. I’ve been in Death Grey Legion and Legions of Azeroth; LoA broke up, and GDL started only raiding on weeknights, which I can’t do. I stayed for a while while I searched for a weekend raid guild on Area 52. When I couldn’t find one, I formed a guild with a few friends, most of whom have xfered.
4 ) Discuss your endgame raiding experience (both pre- and post-TBC), and your goals for the remainder of TBC and into WOTLK.
I have raided everything in vanilla wow, and TBC up to Hyjal; but some only a few times. I wanted to do more, but no guild raided on the weekends.
5 ) Tell us a bit about yourself. We have a no-emo policy here, so what you say about yourself will give us a general idea if you are a candidate for an IRL Toaster Bath or if you're a good fit for us.
A little about me. I am a 36 year old single male teacher. I live in a small rural town in North Carolina and am writing a book. Poverty, the fact that I have all my teeth, speak English well, don't play a banjo, and my family tree actually has branches, prevent me for socializing with the local inbreds; so, I spend my weekend evenings playing wow, while I spend my weekend days writing (currently writing a novel and graphic novel). I wake up early in the morning for school (5:30am) so I can't really raid during the weekdays. What I'm looking for is a group of laid back people that like to have fun and down content. I like to joke and have a good time and, when raiding, l like to focus on downing the boss; while telling jokes during the down times. My mage is my main, but I've recently leveled a druid to 70 that I spec resto to heal when I want a change of pace from dps'ing.
As far as what I bring to Element II: I'm intelligent, listen carefully, follow directions well, and understand that player mechanics and organization helps down bosses. I've also played a mage for more than two years, learning the ins and outs of magedom. I am the type of player that is focused on the raid succeeding rather than trumping everyone's dps. For example, I will be the first one to decurse/counterspell/spellsteal mobs rather than ignoring that duty for personal dps score because I realize it helps healers and everyone else in the raid, allowing the guild to down content.
6 ) Can you make our raiding schedule at least 80% of the time?
I can make the Friday and Saturday raids on a regular basis, the Sunday raids might be a problem if they end so late, but if they end earlier, I can make those as well.
7 ) Is there anyone in Element that would be willing to vouch for you?
No. I learned about you all through an exhaustive research via forums, both guild relation and individual realm forum. As I said, I’m located on Area 52 server
8 ) Have your read the "Joining Element" Announcement Thread in these forums and understand fully what we are all about and what we expect out of you?
